John, we find it hard that we know ye*

Not surprising, John McCain is headline grist again, slamming fellow Republicans and Conservative views

REPORT: John McCain WasThe Globalist Point Man In Efforts To Destroy Trump Campaign (Excerpts below)

Evidence is now mounting that Senator John McCain was among the highest ranking members of a globalist effort to dismantle the then-insurgent Donald Trump presidential campaign. This evidence points to Mr. McCain’s direct involvement with foreign agents to do so – the very kind of election influencing he has repeatedly charged against POTUS Trump and the Russian government.

Check out this excerpt from a now breaking report by the Daily Mail:

•  “…McCain dispatched a ‘trusted emissary’ who flew across the Atlantic to meet the source of the documents at an airport that the Guardian did not name.

•  The aide was instructed to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times and that’s how the individuals met, with the source taking McCain’s emissary back to his house and giving the American a copy of the documents.

•  Within 24 hours, the dossier was in Washington, though the contents of the file couldn’t be verified without an investigation.

•  McCain, the Guardian said, was worried that his actions might be interpreted as revenge for some of the controversial comments Trump made about him – such as knocking the fact that the longtime senator had been a prisoner of war.

•  However, McCain decided to hand over the documents to FBI Director James Comey on December 9.

•  ‘Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI,’ McCain said Wednesday in a statement about that matter.”

All of this anti-Trump cloak and dagger machinations were initiated around the same time of the stunning Brexit vote that had Great Britain withdrawing from the globalist EU organization – an outcome Donald Trump applauded and globalists leaders seethed over. It is unlikely the timing is mere coincidence.

Senator McCain is now claiming his apparent obsession in obtaining the anti-Trump dossier was purely motivated by concern over American security.

But, perhaps this Michael Walsh column from 2013 presents a bit fuller picture of the legendary American Hero (including attached comments both criticizing and praising the article) .

I believe that more than ever, there is a very strong case to be made that nothing you read or hear or are told is to be believed without reservation.

The whole “John McCain Saga” is becoming my best example.

For how long have the American people revered this guy as a genuine hero? For how long has he sought to burnish his image by playing the “maverick”, much beloved by the liberal media and Democratic operatives…until McCain seeks the “Big Office”?

A “fearless” young fighter pilot, shot down over enemy territory, captured, imprisoned and subject to unspeakable torture and yet, refusing to accept freedom when offered to advance the enemy’s propaganda objectives.

Eventually returning to his native land with great honor and going on to serve a grateful nation as a US Senator, always fighting for America’s values and democracy and honorable stature in world affairs.

Ultimately becoming a candidate for president, losing gracefully, but all the while defending the nation’s founding principles, blah, blah, and, blah!

Put me down as a damnable skeptic. I think it’s time for the whole nation to take another look at Senator John McCain.

Given that I’ve never been a big fan of the senator, and I despise his actions with regard to the Trump presidency (one small example noted in the story referenced above) and his always ready willingness to sell out his party and its voters for a gushing headline in the NY Times, I undertook a small effort to research “the man versus the myth”.

The Walsh article is not an unattributed smear job such as many we have seen directed at President Trump. Rather it is an accurate account of facts and events, none not previously widely known but, of course, not widely disseminated to the general public.

It is not a flattering profile of Senator McCain, but rather a recounting of the reasons he does not deserve the ‘Olympian” status he is often accorded when he repudiates a conservative or Republican position.

While it is an excellent piece, Mr. Walsh does not choose to note several aspects of Senator McCain’s ‘curriculum vitae’ which we believe offers additional insight into the senator’s character.

Among them would be an examination of McCain’s marital history…perhaps to many, neither here nor there; to others, possibly disturbing:

“But Ross Perot, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel – even by the standards of modern politics.

‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.”

(If anyone is interested to read an account of this phase of McCain’s life, this  2008 article  may be as accurate as any).

Another would be his quest for the presidency in 2008. This was not just a spectacularly inept effort. It was a campaign in which McCain ran more aggressively against his party and its other candidates than against Obama, all the way through the down ticket.

McCain campaign’s dismissive attitude toward Iowa’s 1st District congressional candidate

Anyone recall how McCain’s campaign engineered the dismissal of a county GOP chairman because in introducing McCain at an appearance he made reference to Barack HUSSEIN Obama!

And, how many local voters remember the senator’s campaign refusing to invite Iowa’s 1st District GOP congressional candidate David Hartsuch to join him on stage at a campaign appearance. The reason? The candidate had several years before allegedly made remarks which the fabled Mr. McCain regarded as unkind to the gay community!**

Recall also McCain’s support for ‘cap and trade’? And his touting of buying pharmaceuticals in Canada, sponsoring legislation to allow consumers to get drugs from other countries. To many McCain seemed to run an anti-business, Democrat-light campaign.

He was extremely bold in slamming the Bush administration for its handing of Katrina?

Of course, that was consistent with his bashing Republican presidents, most recently claiming US leadership was better under Obama!

Makes me wonder if, indeed, the whole story has been told about Senator McCain’s time as a POW and his legendary courage and loyalty.

Nevertheless if it happens to be at variance with what has been told, the American people are unlikely to ever learn it.

John McCain, American ‘Hero’

**Bettendorf News article references the matter in order to “do a number” on Hartsuch but fails to mention that the election result in Hartsuch’s senate district was that John McCain received 46 percent of the vote in his race for President and Hartsuch received 45 percent, a one point difference in the total vote. The figures in Scott County were McCain 42 and Hartsuch 40. The presidential campaign dominated with paid and “earned” media throughout the summer and fall but Hartsuch’s performance locally was close to John McCain’s in spite of the lack of resources and running against an incumbent.

  1. Dave Gerrasch says:

The problem with McCain is his perception that he now is the moral authority and spokesman for the Republican Party. If I want to be preached to I go to church. What I am looking for is leadership from our politicians not redemption.
