SHEILA JACKSON LEE IS . . .

ALL THE NFL PLAYERS NEED TO SOLIDIFY THEIR IMAGE AS FOOLS AND DUPES

– Black players have a representative in Congress who, it is fair to say, is a genuine ‘kook’; white players  and team owners will apparently pander to anybody the left demands of them, out of, what?, fear?, belief that without their black fellow players the big checks won’t keep coming or their investments will suffer? Sports media will be unkind to them? Who knows?

– Sheila Jackson Lee, whom her black voters keep sending back to Congress to make historically stupid remarks (see a list below), did a “Kaepernick on the House floor. The NFL’s gotta be proud to be in Ms. Lee’s company.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) took to the House floor Monday night to kneel in solidarity with NFL players who chose defy President Trump and protest police brutality. Jackson Lee said you “cannot deny” that Trump calling players who kneel a ‘son of a bitch’ is “racism.”

“I kneel in honor of them. I kneel in front of the flag and on this floor,” Jackson Lee declared.

“I kneel in honor of the First Amendment. I kneel because the flag is a symbol for freedom. I kneel because I’m going to stand against racism. I kneel because I will stand with those young men and I’ll stand with our soldiers. And I’ll stand with America, because I kneel.”

There! Is that clear? Sheila ‘kneels’ because she ‘stands’ or ‘stands’ because  she ‘kneels’. Whatever.  Of course the NFL players  taking a knee during the anthem was to say, ~~ not my country . . .I am not part of that . . . I am out of that . . . that the nation is overall too reprehensible to stand for and not deserving of my respect~~  Congressman Lee “stands” with that.

“A historical fact: President Bush pushed this nation into a war that had little to do with apprehending terrorists. We did not seek an impeachment of President Bush, because as an executive, he had his authority. President Obama has the authority.”

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee had an interesting view on the Vietnam War, and on how two separate Vietnams apparently still exist in peace.

“And I want to say to my colleagues that I stand here asking us to do what we did not do in Vietnam. Was to recognize the valiant and outstanding service of our men and women. And to understand that victory had been achieved. Today we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they’re living side by side. Because that was a civil war. And because the leadership of this nation did not listen to the mothers and fathers who borned the burden of 58,000 dead and did not declare victory, the mounting death, the violence continued going up and up. Rather than understanding the political nature of the war in Vietnam, we did not listen to those families.”
