Surveillance Update
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told reporters this afternoon that the Obama Administration did conduct surveillance on members of the Trump transition team, and possibly even of Trump himself, after the election.
This is a breaking story and we will know more in the hours ahead. But the congressman suggested that this development in some ways provides support for what Donald Trump said — essentially that the Obama Administration was “tapping” (poor choice of words) or monitoring communications by him and his people.
Nunes repeated several times that it is a felony to disclose the identity of U.S. citizens (Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn) incidentally caught up in national security surveillance. Nunes said that the NSA was cooperating with his committee, but the FBI was not. Rep. Nunes stressed that, “None of this surveillance was related to Russia or the investigation of Russian activities or of the Trump team.”

What will be the ratio of the dominant liberal media’s (DLM) presentation of the latest revelations supporting Trump’s assertion that the Obama administration “tapped” / monitored he and his associates — compared to how repeatedly contemptuous they were of the charge?
If reporting it at all, will any mention be made that the surveillance had nothing to do with Russians, their boogieman to use against Trump? Will there be ANY context to the reporting that Democrats, especially Hillary Clinton and her people, were hip deep in business dealings, “collusion” with Russians before and during her campaign for president?
What will the spin be by the DLM who do mention the revelation substantiating Trump’s accusation? So far iIt has been to try to create the utter scandal that Devin Nunes (R-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, yesterday told Trump “first” there might be something to Trump’s charges. It was essentially a timely release to all parties at one time. But the DLM is trying to make that out as collusion. Why exactly should anyone be advised before Trump is not brought up.
We would also ask . . . if someone accuses someone of victimizing them through illegal voyeurism “peeping tom” activity and the alleged perp is being investigated based on information substantiating the allegation, why in hell would the information not be shared with the victim on a priority basis by the chief investigator?

Bauer is very pointed in his post about the effects of what has heretofore been a non-selective immigration policy, soft on illegals and illegal immigration. Under the Obamanation, just rush across the US border and reap the benefits. Never mind those who play by the rules that are effectively elbowed out. His inclusion of the news about the Des Moines area high school students wearing red white and blue being called racists represents how far the one-world-open- borders types will hyperventilate against displays of patriotism, particularly on what they consider their turf — the schools. Bold emphasis ours.
Common Sense vs. Left-wing Dreams
Every time the immigration issue gets traction, left-wing commentators write stories telling us that America is doomed without immigrants. We hear about all the immigrants who lead companies, create jobs and have been tremendously successful. That is all true.
But no one is suggesting that we prevent well-educated, entrepreneurial men and women from coming to America.
What we want to stop are gang members, jihadists and those coming here to exploit our welfare system.
We always hear about compassion for the “dreamers” and other illegal immigrants. But where is the left’s compassion for this 14 year old girl?
Where is the left’s compassion for Kate Steinle, Sandra Duran and Jamiel Shaw? Where is the left’s compassion for the American taxpayer?
The only way to ensure that we are allowing in entrepreneurial individuals and not gang members or jihadists is by securing the border (building a wall) and making deliberate decisions about who gets in.
The entire Democratic Party apparatus is trying to stop us from doing that. Sadly, certain Republicans on Capitol Hill, who can’t find a single domestic program they are willing to cut, are complaining that a wall will cost too much.
This is what the left means when it talks about the “fundamental transformation” of America, using massive flows of immigration to change America the way Europe is being changed. The left rejects the idea of American exceptionalism. It rejects assimilation, the idea behind E pluribus unum: out of many, one. That is why the left is increasingly outraged by displays of patriotism.
Earlier this month, an Iowa high school apologized after students at a basketball game showed up wearing red, white and blue. Are you kidding me?!
American kids showing pride in their country should not be offensive. What is offensive is that a young girl within a short drive of the White House was raped in a school restroom by thugs who shouldn’t have been in the country.
By the way, if immigration agents had caught up with Sanchez-Milian and raided the apartment or home where he was living prior to last week’s attack, he would have been presented on the evening news as a victim, another “dreamer” whose dreams were cut short by Donald Trump.
It seems to me that we should be devoting more effort to figuring who is dreaming of helping America and who is dreaming about assaulting our daughters.
