Truth more ghastly than fiction

Soylent CEO says Planned Parenthood operating model beats theirs in efficiency and  net margins. Sees strategic benefit to integration.  Planned Parenthood’s non-profit status has been eyed with jealousy in the “recycling industry” for decades. Their “can’t lose federal subsidies” status has been absolutely lusted over. Soylent CEO went on to say:    “It is time we got their key people on our Board.  Clearly we have a lot to learn.”   Soylant’s press release stated:  “We look forward to a symbiosis of profit making and industrial efficiencies with our new supplier Planned Parenthood provided by vertical integration with our processing business.”

I think this one is so ghastly that the Third Reich would be disgusted.

Third Planned Parenthood video released:´Huge trafficking of fetal tissues´

Washington Examiner [DC], by Paige Winfield Cunningham

A third Planned Parenthood video was released Tuesday morning that features a whistleblower who says her biomedical company would compensate Planned Parenthood clinics for fetal organs based on their condition and quality after being extracted from an abortion. Holly O´Donnell is a former technician for California-based Stem Express, a company that contracts with abortion clinics for the tissue. “The more valuable the tissue the more money you get, so if you can somehow procure a brain or a heart you´re going to get more money than just umbilical cord,” O´Donnell says in the video.

The Center for Medical Progress had a good strategy: Capture and release undercover film of Planned Parenthood’s depravity, wait for the inevitable craven defense and denial, and then turn up the heat with subsequent video releases that show even more offensive material. The group’s third video release (with more to follow in the “Human Capital” series) is very graphic. It depicts, as feared, the dissected parts of an aborted baby, so viewers beware. A technician working with an 11-week-old aborted baby talks (and laughs) about getting $200-$300 per baby by charging more per organ or part specimen. Dr. Savita Ginde, vice president and medical director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, agrees: “I think a per-item thing works a little better,” she says, “just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” That’s hardly just a way to “break even,” as the Planned Parenthood doctor insisted in the first video. Never mind the abortion itself already costs a bundle. Clearly, money is the driving factor.

The video primarily features an interview with Holly O’Donnell, a former “procurement technician” at a fetal tissue company. She recounts how she fainted on the first day at work when she was instructed to dissect a newly aborted baby. “I thought I was going to be just drawing blood,” she said, “not procuring tissue from aborted fetuses.” She explained the profit motive: “The harder and more valuable the tissue, the more money you can get. If you can somehow procure a brain or a heart, you’re going to get more money. … I guess that’s an incentive to try and get the hard stuff — because they get more money.” She concludes, “It’s basically a huge trafficking of fetal tissues. … It’s a pretty sick company.” And the despicable people at Planned Parenthood have the gall to insist the only evil here is the “heavily edited” videos.

Another Planned Parenthood Video

Another undercover video exposing Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in baby body parts was released this morning. A former “procurement technician” describes how she passed out on the first day of her new job. “I thought I was going to be just drawing blood, not procuring tissue from aborted fetuses,” Holly O’Donnell said.

According to O’Donnell, procurement technicians were essentially paid bonuses based on the kind of tissue they could recover from the remains of aborted babies. The video also features a Planned Parenthood executive referring to their tissue pricing scheme, saying, “I think a per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.”

Planned Parenthood insists that it is not profiting from the sale of aborted body parts. That is illegal under federal law. The organization says it is merely recovering costs. But as several commentators have pointed out, the group charges to perform abortions. So exactly what costs are being recouped by the sale of tissue?

This is a why a congressional investigation is so urgently needed. It’s also another reason why the American people shouldn’t be forced to subsidize this billion-dollar industry of death.

By the way, whatever you think of the Confederate flag today, Sarah Palin is getting a lot of attention for a recent Facebook post comparing that symbol to Planned Parenthood’s predatory abortion practices. Palin asks, “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?”
