Conservatives — Quaint Dreamers?

ryanlerch_thinkingboy_outline-1I think it’s kind of quaint how conservatives become almost orgasmic each time a new Obama outrage is revealed. Each time over the past four years or so, conservatives and Republicans are overcome with joy at the prospect that this
time the Obama administration is “going down” over the latest revelation of corruption, illegality, or its obviously gross deceptions and unconstitutional actions.

Over these past years, there have been many such occasions. A scandal of potentially major proportions somehow surfaces. Each time the incident is of such seriousness that even some liberals occasionally concede that just the mere
allegations would have been sufficient to drive George Bush from office.

There was the revelation of rampant racism in Eric Holder’s Justice
Department…it’s policy to not bring forward cases of vote fraud or
intimidation when practiced by blacks. The allegations were so serious and the
apparent evidence of their accuracy so compelling that it dwarfed the so called
and false charge of “politicization”  of the office which drove Alberto Gonzalez
from the Attorney General post. In that case, the media was gleeful (see the
QCTimes editorial, “Heckuva job, Alberto”, back then) and they deserved to be.
Without the all out abdication of journalistic ethics by the major media, the
Holder Justice Department would have been sad history.

obama-pelosi-birth-certificateAnd, then, there is the whole matter of President Obama’s carefully concealed
background…records from his college days…we know George Bush’ s grades in
every subject he took. Access to Obama’s education history is denied. As is the
case in nearly every aspect of his life. Only the carefully crafted (though
arguably false) biography is officially available.

And, does one have to be branded with the letter “B”, as in “birther” to just
wonder why a “great American” like Barack Obama would have spent well over a
million dollars over several years to fight efforts by American voters to have
him produce his birth certificate? Then, when apparently feeling some
extraordinary pressure, he “releases “one, but only certain media toadies are
permitted to see the “actual” document. Forensic experts, however, are not.

But, again, nothing to see here…let’s move on.

Is it at all necessary to recap the current status of such events as “Fast and
Furious” and Benghazi.

holder-liarHow many of us even recall that, not only has this “investigation” been virtually shut down by “executive privilege” but that Atty. General Holder has been found in contempt of Congress? Boy! Is he sweating over that.

holder-stopBenghazi? When an Obama administration official doesn’t want the American people to know what their government is doing or has done, he or she just doesn’t talk. Who the hell does Congress think they are…some kind of a “co-equal” branch of government? Ha!

letdoglie2webcr_10_4_12Does anybody think these matters will not be eventually dismissed as attempts by “Obama haters” trying to make a scandal out of simple cases of human error and understandable miscalculations by really, really honorable people?

And, now we have the EPA email matter…and hopes are high again! Surely, this
will be the one.

Dream on folks. This is how it is in a totalitarian state supported by a corrupt press.  DLH

Hey you didn’t even mention the Solyndra and Light Squared corrupt “Green” boondoggles that happened right in front of us! But the MSM yawned at this also. And eventually so did we.

That is the problem here. Fox, Drudge and a hand full of awesome blogs break these huge stories and force the MSM to cover them, but they only do it for 2 seconds and we think it is a victory. We need to put more pressure on these people on all fronts or else it just isn’t reported.

And suddenly the Benghazi story is off the front page after McCain ties Susan Rice to it and she removes herself from the “potential” SOS post with Hillary leaving and in comes horse face Kerry and they (he and McCain) are slapping high fives! No more questions about Rice lying or Hillary failing badly at her job, just hello horse face!

Gosh, Roy, gimme a break here. You’re ,of course, correct. There are so many other scandals and outrages committed by this administration, but to mention them all almost gets to the point of posting the dictionary.
One could have added just two examples of the blatant lawbreaking by the Obama regime: 1) my understanding that federal regulations, set to become effective Jan. 1 are required by law to be formally announced in April of the preceding year. BO, of course didn’t do that, what with the pending election and all.
    2) there is a law(for the protection of labor, dontcha know) which requires companies to announced planned layoffs not less than 60 days prior. Here, again, those pesky elections were looming late last fall, so companies who were preparing to make such announcements due to sequestration, were told by BO’s minions that that wasn’t necessary; BO (“his” government) will pay any fines incurred for thus violating that law. “There! That wasn’t so tough. Show me a law that keeps me from doing what I want and I’ll show you how to break it”…BO.

While we’re at it , Roy, let’s mention the administration’s proven misrepresentation of the scientific panel’s report related to the Gulf oil spill. By surreptitiously changing the report’s conclusions, the Administration imposed an extended ban on drilling in the Gulf. When a federal judge was told by the panel that the admin had changed its recommendation, the judge found the administration in contempt of court and ordered the ban to be lifted. No problem, BO’s “people” just went ahead with a de facto ban by slow walking every application for drilling. See how this works? Media apparently admired their cleverness and ” balls” and Congress looked on from the sidelines to which they are forever consigned under the BO dictatorship…and they don’t seem to mind.

Also, DLH could have noted two of Obama’s most blatant illegal/unconstitutional acts: 1) the outright confiscation of property and denial of contractual rights of Chrysler bondholders. The Chrysler investors had a solid contractual first claim on the assets of the company if it went under…that was the enticement to invest in those bonds!
Obama simply ruled in imperial style that those bondholders would receive only a small fraction of their investment so that Obama could bestow an ownership stake in Chrysler on his union buddies. (and the media, including the QC Times is all distraught over Citizens United because it recognizes that corporations have some rights, too…even in today’s Obamamerika).
    2) only one of many such Obama actions to neutralize any role Congress has as a co-equal branch of government: his action in declaring that regardless what the Senate says, they’re in “recess” so that he can appoint to the NLRB people whose record is such they could not be confirmed in the legitimate process. No wonder Tom Friedman and Jeffrey Immelt admire the Chinese communist system of government. Their man is racing toward implementing his version of it!
