What else can we say?

Life is good in Bernieville

Here is a beautiful story. Nightline interviewed a Bernie Sanders precinct. Well, technically, a hippie commune. But I’ll bet you a child raising village to your 15 year old computer that  Bernie will cop 100% of the vote in “Twin Oaks”.

ISIS quakes in fear

Spare us, Allah, it’s their commander-in-chief! He’s coming for us.

His niece Kate?  Well she also got more brains from the lineage.

Of course. We’ve come to expect this kind of “wise” bi-partisanship” by the GOP Congressional leadership.

We don’t need no stink’in’ “poison pills”…that’s a provision in a legislative bill that Obama may not like…’cause “we’re putting Congress back to work”! Ain’t gonna see us shuttin’ down no government.

But wait’ll we have a Republican president (like JEB or Kasich) and two veto proof Houses and watch us go!

House GOP Chairman Stops Keystone XL Push, Calls It ‘Poison Pill’

Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), the chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, has decided to take the Keystone XL pipeline off the table as part of the committee’s energy bill.

“One of the things I’m actively working against is what I call poison pills by one side or the other — so yes, of course I support Keystone. We’ve had a number of votes on that, but I know that’s not going to fly,” Upton said at an event sponsored by National Journal.

I think the polls are way off in the Democrat race here and Iowa Libs are feeling the Bern. I am seeing seeing about a 10:1 sign and bumper sticker advantage and I drive all around eastern Iowa for work from CR to Dubuque and Burlington. There is no way in hell Bern is losing Iowa by 24.2% to the Hilldabeast like this Real Clear Politics rolling average indicates.

Normally, I wouldn’t waste time reading about a “Nightline” fluff piece. But this is such a heartwarming story about how great life could be if wonderful, peace loving folks , led of course by Sen. Sanders ran the world. Every day could be like a weekend with Bernie.
I was intrigued though by one excerpt from this piece. The reporter, Pitts, is talking with one of the commune’s residents:
“PITTS: But the commune life doesn’t come without sacrifices. Each adult is responsible for working 42 hours a week. And at Twin Oaks, which has been in operation for 48 years, every personal decision has to be made collectively, even having a child.

“KATHERYN SIMMONS (TWIN OAKS RESIDENT): Having a child is not something you can take for granted, that you can just decide to do on your own because you’re not personally responsible for financing that kid’s upbringing, the entire community is.

“PITTS: They make their money making tofu and selling hammocks that gross about $2 million a year and share the income.”

WHOA! ‘they make 2 million large from making tofu and selling hammocks’!!?!
Anybody besides me wonder just what the ingredients are in their “tofu”! I’m curious about how much fun these folks have at a weekend “tofu party”!
