Does the Roman Catholic Church Have Its Own Reverend Wright?

Provocative?   Read on

While His Holiness has not uttered the famous call from Barack Obama’s “spiritual advisor” for God to “damn America”, Francis has publicly condemned our country’s economic system, deplored America’s “exploitation” of poor nations, anguished over the bad habits of our citizens and over the practices of our businesses in their quest for “profit”.

Francis is even upset over how much money people spend on their pets and our affection for air conditioning which only seems to make greedy profit seekers expand its availability. He is fiercely critical of our “throwaway society”.

And now, the Pontiff is coming to America to lecture the America people face to face on our many shortcomings.

No. He’s not coming here to speak out forcefully on the ugly record of the abortion industry or the recently revealed ghastly practices of Planned Parenthood.

The Vicar of Christ is coming to straighten us out on this “climate” thing. He will exhort the American people to give up their comfortable existence in order to stop the climate from changing. He will urge us to drastically reduce our quest for material possessions in order to eliminate the inequities among the world’s population.

He is also coming to America to admonish some of us for advocating against open borders and for opposing policies which invite people from all over the world to illegally enter our country by the hundreds of thousands, encouraged by their home countries to seek the benefits available from the largesse of American taxpayers. Pope Francis apparently feels that it is very selfish of Americans to try to protect the nation’s values and culture and the proceeds of a free society.

We now learn that Il Papa would really like to show “solidarity” with illegal immigrants by a symbolic crossing of the border from Mexico. (see excerpt below)

It is both interesting and very disappointing that Pope Francis has so little criticism for the totalitarian dictators whose company he seems to enjoy and whose interests he seems anxious to promote, yet he seems unable to find any redeeming qualities about the USA.

Immigration Could Get Push From Pope Francis

Pope Francis has been vocal about the treatment of immigrants since he became the head of the Roman Catholic Church in March 2013. Last year, he called the surge of Central American children crossing the border into the United States a “humanitarian emergency.” In a June encyclical letter on climate change, Francis noted the “tragic rise” of immigrants fleeing poverty.

The Holy Father would enter the United States by crossing the Mexican border if he had the time, according to Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga, the head of a papal advisory group of cardinals, during remarks in March before a Georgetown University audience.

Given what is already known about the Pope’s priorities he intends to pursue during his visit to America: lobby for President Obama’s “climate change” program, admonish Americans for their “excessive consumerism”, promote the left’s and the Obama administration’s disregard for immigration laws, and castigate free markets, proclaim his solidarity with those who invade our country with aspirations for whatever Pope Francis chooses to ascribe to them, I have a few additional questions regarding his visit:
    1) Will he endorse Bernie Sanders?
    2) It is already suggested that he intends to meet with representatives of the illegal immigration “movement; if he has time, will he also meet with “Occupy Wall Street” activists? with “Black Lives Matter” reps?
    3) Will Francis hand out “Angel of Peace” medals to Obama, Kerry, “devout Catholic” abortion supporters like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, et al?
    4) Will he chip in on the Iran nuclear weapons agreement with his widely acclaimed acute expertise on nearly every political issue? Agree with Obama to close Gitmo?
    5) What mementos will the Pontiff accept from his “hosts” which can appropriately compare with the various “hammer and sickle” emblems currently in his collection? Maybe an official Guy Fawkes “anti-capitalism mask? Will President Obama award Pope Francis with an I pod loaded with some of his “best” speeches?
Many questions. The answers should be quite revealing.

I said it well over a year ago here, the Pope is trying to be Obummer and Obummer is trying to be the Pope.

More questions, prompted by Roy’s comment: While he is here, will His Holiness begin a canonization of the Apostle Barack…or vice versa?
Getting ridiculous, I know, but there are few issues on which Francis and Obama do not seem to be in perfect sync. And where there are differences (i.e. religious freedom, “unfettered” abortion), they are either downplayed or barely noted. We will see.
