Barrack and Michelle complain about the egregious racism inflicted on them to People magazine

OK. I’m in the grocery store yesterday, in the canned fruit aisle, deciding which brand of peaches my wife prefers as the principal ingredient of her favorite pie.

I feel a tugging on my sleeve and I turn and look down to see an elderly lady, about 5’2″. she looks me in the eye and says, “Reach up and get that can of mixed fruit on the top shelf and hand it to me.”

I say, “Lady, who do you think I am, Michele Obama?”

She says, “Hell no…and watch your mouth young man (I’m kidding about that part). Here’s my car keys, tall guy, bring my car around to the first entrance…and don’t get any dirt on the floor mat”.

I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT THIS ‘LITTLE PEOPLE PRIVILEGE’ HAS GONE TO FAR!

As pointed out in The Weekly Standard:

For Barack, it’s racism when someone threw him the keys to their car.  But Obama had to elevate his story to the status of racial injustice. He continued, “It’s one thing for me to be mistaken for a waiter at a nice gala. It’s another thing for my son to be mistaken for a robber and to be handcuffed or worse, if he happens to be walking down the street and is dressed the way teenagers dress.” That is another very cheap shot at cops nationwide from a guy who happens to be president of the United States, not a valet guy . . ..

In the same People  interview Michelle Obama relived slavery’s roots by saying she was asked to get something off a high shelf at Target for  vertically challenged person.

Leon McNeil writing here  doubts it:

Mrs. Obama alleges the Target incident occurred during her 2011 shopping photo op. Her story doesn’t even sound plausible. We’re to believe the Secret Service allowed a random stranger to get close enough to the First Lady to ask her for help reaching for something on a shelf. We’re further to believe that no one else at the store was interested in the hoard of press Secret Service agents surrounding a woman who looked exactly like the First Lady. Press reports from the Target excursion indicated that Mrs. Obama had a great time shopping, none of them mention a racist woman who dared ask for help. Let’s say the incident did happen though, why would anyone presume racism played a role? People ask strangers for help all the time . . .
