Only surprise here is that Earnest Josh Earnest wasn’t sent out to tell us rubes that the program was another in a long string of dramatic successes for Obama’s strategy(?) and adding a grand total of a half dozen fighters to the resistance is really what forced Putin to be bogged down in the Middle East “quagmire”.
And then gender-challenged Ash Carter promised that we’ll be hearing from President Obama “shortly” on his next wonderful program.
One correction to that statement is in order: We never hear anything from Obama “shortly”!

Obama Administration Ends Pentagon Program to Train Syrian Rebels
LONDON — The Obama administration has ended the Pentagon’s $500 million program to train and equip Syrian rebels, administration officials said on Friday, in an acknowledgment that the beleaguered program had failed to produce any kind of ground combat forces capable of taking on the Islamic State in Syria.
Pentagon officials were expected to officially announce the end of the program on Friday, as Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter leaves London after meetings with his British counterpart, Michael Fallon, about the continuing wars in Syria and Iraq.
“I wasn’t happy with the early efforts” of the program, Mr. Carter said during a news conference with Mr. Fallon. “So we have devised a number of different approaches.” Mr. Carter added, “I think you’ll be hearing from President Obama very shortly” on the program.
This is a national emergency
Stating the obvious, Ash looks like a clod in that suit. While in London he needs a trip to Savile Row. If he is ever to attract the recruits to complete the transition he and Obama (the latter of the finely creased pants set) want to see for the armed forces Ash must show the way. What metro-sexual, whatever sexual, lean mean frappe sipping military machine can be achieved when the head DOD guy turns out like that?! European armed forces are probably scandalized.

Looking at the photo of “Ash”, it is no wonder the world fears Obama’s “terrible swift sword”. An ill-fitting suit perhaps, but when angry, “Ash” sets his jaw like flint and unflinchingly calls Putin out for his “unprofessionalism”.
And we have nothing to fear from Vlad “the Impaler” Putin anyway. After all, how many divisions of transgenders has he? (He certainly can’t match our military’s “estimated 15,000”>)
