Weighing in on anchor babies

There is little question that the debate over the constitutionality of the “anchor baby” issue will continue for many years. One aspect of this matter, however, which can be addressed immediately is the issue of the “chain migration” which grows out of this provision.

It is a very popular theme for liberals to underscore their misguided notions of “compassion” with: “we cannot permit families to be broken up”. This has led to bizarre situations which have no rational basis in a civilized society. It only has incredibly shallow emotional appeal to liberals, upon whose Democrat party leadership relies to advance a cynical political agenda.

Under this concept, the illegal immigrant parents of “anchor babies”, liberals argue, must be protected from deportation because their families must be kept intact. It even leads to extended family members being invited into permanent, non-legal residence in America.

This past summer saw implementation of the most extreme extension of this false narrative. Unaccompanied minor children, not even “anchor babies”, invaded our borders by the thousands. Admitted with “compassion”, driven by hidden, underlying, motives for political gain, the Obama administration settled these children in places all over the country. The next step, of course, is to invoke the now familiar cry that these children’s relatives close and extended, must be admitted so that their “families can be reunited”.

No country who values its heritage, values, and history, and founded on the rule o f law, would ever permit such a distortion of commonly accepted principles of good order, preservation of its social structure, the security of its lawful citizens, and common sense.

The very notion that by deporting people who have willfully invaded our borders and who have no legal right to be here is an act by the state to “break up families” is ludicrous.

America does not hold hostage any citizen who wishes to leave for whatever reason.
It is only the decision by the family itself. If parents or guardians of a a minor child who is a US citizen choose to abandon that child, that is a decision by the family and the family alone must bear the burden of that decision.

Failure to enforce the the “law of the land” regarding immigration, and thus promote the dissolution of the society and endanger national security is a grievous failure to carry out the most sacred responsibilities bestowed on a president.
