Proposed Immigration Reform = Political Disaster

The head strong but brain dead rush by Republicans Boehner, Ryan and Cantor to implement an immigration “reform” plan is exposed by Erick Erickson and Daniel Horowitz writing at RedState.

Based on past experience there is no reason to doubt the predictions Erickson and Horowitz make as to the basic content of what the Republican leadership intends to push, not is there any doubt as to the economic, legal, political and cultural implications.  Clouding the thinking of the Republican leadership is rope-a-dope liberal media serving the interests of Democrats, faulty moral  and sociological analysis, those being the good points, and the tawdry influence of cheap labor business interests.

Read their excoriation of what is known about the proposals in these two articles:           The Speaker Reaps What the Speaker Sows   (from Erickson)                                                       Boehner Releases Immigration Deform Proposal   (from Horowitz)  Both provide point by point dissections of what is going on.

Heritage  has a white paper on the topic, A Positive Path to Immigration and Border Security reform.   An always worthy reference.     R Mall

◾”Finally, it is dangerous and irresponsible to begin pushing any of this before Obama begins to follow the current laws.”
That says it all. But Obama is not the only president and this is not the only administration and congress who do not wish to insure that laws are upheld. They and their predecessors simply like to pass laws. Some they are quite studious in insuring compliance. Others, not so much. It’s not our immigration system which is “broken”. It’s our cynical, greedy politicians who are “broken”…and none moreso than Obama/Reid/Pelosi and the GOP establishment.

I got an immigration proposal, go to the back of the line where the people are waiting to come into the country legally. Did you guys see that in California they granted an illegal the right to be a lawyer? Wtf.

The Republicans are doing a courageous act here. Just think about all the new revenue that will be flowing in from the 11 million new tax payers. We must open the borders for all to come in.
